Microwave Toaster Oven Air Fryer Combo: Does It Exist, and What It Can't Toast
Yes, it exists, but it's rare. Buy the Galanz ToastWave if you want one box that names microwave, air fryer, convection oven and toaster, with toast for 1 to 6 slices per Galanz. Other combos toast only through a broil or grill setting from above, or not at all.

The short version
Our pick is the Galanz ToastWave: 1.2 cu ft, a 1000 W inverter microwave, air fry, convection and toast for 1 to 6 slices, with heaters on the top, bottom and back per Galanz. It is deep, at 22.25 in on Galanz's sheet. No one has published measured toast results, so if perfect toast matters, keep a separate toaster.

People hope one box can replace three. It nearly can, in one case, but the toast part is where the promise gets thin.

Why it fits here: The one combo we found whose brand names microwave, air fryer, convection and toaster together, with a toast program for up to 6 slices.

| Combi Wave bundle | Yes, in a second appliance | Separate 4-slice slot toaster |
What can't a combo do like a toaster?
- Brown both sides at once, on top-heater models. Panasonic's heaters sit at the top and its manual says to turn broiled food over after half the time. Galanz lists a bottom element too. How even the result is, we can't say.
- Hold many slices in the usual shape. Bread lies flat on a rack, which limits how many fit. Galanz lists a 12 3/5 in turntable and a 10 5/8 in air fry kit. We found no statement of which holds its 6 slices.
- Toast in microwave mode. Microwave mode doesn't give you toast.
- Show numbers. Good Housekeeping's lab toasts bread in the combos it reviews, but the article we read publishes no scores. We found no controlled toast comparison.
What are the models like?
- Galanz ToastWave (our pick). Galanz's sheet lists 1.2 cu ft, a 1000 W inverter microwave (one that holds its power steady) with 10 power levels, and programs for toast, bagel, broil, air fry, bake, pizza and warm. It includes an air fry kit, a silicone mat and a nonstick turntable, with a one-year warranty. The catches: the sheet gives 21.25 × 22.25 × 12.57 in, while the listing says 21 in deep. On a 24 in counter, 22.25 in leaves about 1.75 in in front, before the door opens. The sheet names the GTWHG12S1SA10A, with a final A, while the listing names the GTWHG12S1SA10. We couldn't read its manual, so check both before you buy. Mid-range class. See our Galanz page.
- Panasonic HomeChef. The listing names the NN-CV87QS, and we read the manual for its sister model, the NN-CD87. It says Broil 1 suits toasting bread, muffins and teacakes, on the wire rack on the enamel tray. It can toast, but as a broiler job, not a program. It needs headroom: 13.5 in plus 6 in on top is 19.5 in, so check your manual and don't block the vents. Premium class.
- Combi Wave plus toaster bundle. The bundle* title says microwave, air fryer and toaster oven. Read on, and the listing describes a Breville Combi Wave and a Cuisinart CPT-180P1 slot toaster with 1.5 in wide slots for 4 slices. That is a fair way to get real toast if you know you're buying two appliances with two footprints. We only have listing data for the bundle. Microwave output is 1100 W per an excerpt of Breville's US manual. See our Breville Combi Wave page: it needs 12 in above and 8 in to adjacent walls.
- Toshiba ML2-EC10SA. Toshiba's page names no toast function. The Toshiba* is for people who'd be happier with a low 1.0 cu ft combo and a toaster they already own. It is 11.8 in tall per Toshiba.
Many results for this search are air fryer toaster ovens, which can't microwave. The Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro states toast for 9 slices and 13 functions, in a body 21.4 × 17.3 × 12.7 in. If you already own a microwave, that kind of appliance may suit you better. See lookalikes that are not microwaves and a combo versus a toaster oven.
What should I check before I buy?
- Toast in the brand's own mode list. "Toaster" in a listing title isn't proof.
- Depth. These run deep. Measure from the wall to the counter edge with our size guide.
- Clearance. Toasting and broiling mean a hot top. See the clearance figures by model.
- Crumbs. Built-up grease and food can cause smoke, per Panasonic. Plan on wiping.
- The model number. Galanz suffixes differ, so compare the listing with the sheet.
Enter your space and we’ll show which models fit. We use the sizes each brand publishes. It also needs some air around it, so check the manual too.
Many kitchens have about 18 in here, but measure yours to be sure.
Enter all three measurements and the list appears here.
Mistakes to avoid: buying a bundle as if it were one machine, buying an air fryer toaster oven as a microwave replacement, and expecting slot-toaster results.
Which combo is yours?
Question 1
Where will it go?
This decides how you buy.
What should I buy?
If you truly want one box to microwave, air-fry and toast, and your counter is deep enough, buy the Galanz ToastWave*. If you make toast every morning, keep a separate toaster. Our brand overview shows who else sells what.
Quick questions
Is there a microwave air fryer toaster oven combo?
Yes. The Galanz ToastWave GTWHG12S1SA10 is sold as a 4-in-1 with microwave, air fryer, convection oven and toaster oven in one box. Galanz's product sheet lists toast for 1 to 6 slices and a 1000 W microwave. It is one of very few. Most toaster ovens with air fry can't microwave.
Does the Breville Combi Wave toast?
Breville's product page names air fryer, convection oven and inverter microwave. It doesn't name toast, but its book has a grill function that browns food with the top elements. The Amazon bundle whose title mentions a toaster oven adds a separate Cuisinart 4-slice slot toaster, as listed. So that bundle is two appliances.
Can you make toast in a microwave air fryer?
Sometimes, through broil or grill. Panasonic's NN-CD87 manual says its high broil setting suits toasting bread, muffins and teacakes, with the food on the wire rack. It says to turn broiled food over after half the time. Plain microwave mode can't brown bread.
How many slices can a microwave toaster oven combo toast?
Galanz's sheet lists 1 to 6 slices for its 1.2 cu ft ToastWave. Breville states 9 slices for its Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro, which doesn't microwave. We found no published measurement of how evenly any of them toast.
Is a toaster oven combo better than two separate appliances?
It saves counter space and costs you some certainty. One box does the work of three, but it is large, and it runs one job at a time. If you make toast every morning, a slot toaster beside a regular combo is the simple, proven choice.
