Toshiba ML2-EC10SA 8-in-1: Size, Fit and What Toshiba Says

Buy the Toshiba ML2-EC10SA if you want one combo under ordinary wall cabinets. It is a true microwave air fryer with 1.0 cu ft, 1000 W and only 11.8 in of height, says Toshiba. Plan for 18 in of depth, Toshiba's number, even though the Amazon listing says 16.4 in. The space it needs around it isn't on Toshiba's page, so check the printed manual.

The short version

Buy the Toshiba ML2-EC10SA if you want one combo under ordinary wall cabinets. Toshiba says 20.6 × 18 × 11.8 in, 1.0 cu ft, a 1000 W microwave, a 12.4 in turntable and 10 air fry presets. Skip it if your counter is shallow or your trays are big. Only a third-party summary gives the space it needs, about 3 in, so confirm that in the manual.

What is on this page

This is the one we would start with for an ordinary family kitchen. See our best combos. It keeps a full 1.0 cu ft and 1000 W in a low body. It isn't fully documented, though. Toshiba's page leaves real gaps, and we say where.

Is it right for me?

Why it works

  • Wall cabinets over the spot: 11.8 in tall, says Toshiba
  • Everyday family plates: 12.4 in turntable
  • A low-fuss air fry mode: 10 presets, says Toshiba
  • Homes with kids: two-step child lock, says Toshiba

Where it falls short

  • Shallow counters: plan for 18 in deep
  • Large or rectangular trays: the turntable limits them
  • Anyone who wants all the space and accessory data before buying: Toshiba's page doesn't give it

Will it fit?

Run the sum with your own numbers, and use our size guide to measure.

That 18 in gap comes from secondary sources, so measure yours. See what fits under cabinets.

Enter your space and we’ll show which models fit. We use the sizes each brand publishes. It also needs some air around it, so check the manual too.

Many kitchens have about 18 in here, but measure yours to be sure.

Enter all three measurements and the list appears here.

The depth conflict. Toshiba says 18 in and the Amazon listing says 16.4 in. Neither explains what it includes, and we couldn't read the manual to settle it. A 1.6 in difference (computed) can decide whether the door clears the counter edge. Plan for the bigger number.

The space around it. A third-party summary of the manual lists about 3 in on top, back and sides, and our clearance guide marks that as unconfirmed. Treat it as a starting point. Other brands ask for quite different gaps, so read the booklet in the box. Keep vents free. Don't put it over a range or in a cabinet unless the manual says so.

How is it day to day?

  • Air frying. The 10 presets are the easy way in, and Toshiba describes 360-degree hot air. We found no published measurement of its results. Good Housekeeping's April 2026 roundup named a Toshiba 7-in-1 most versatile, but we couldn't tie that to this model. See combo versus basket air fryer.
  • Cleaning. Toshiba tells you to wipe the waveguide cover, turntable and inside with a dry or damp soft cloth. Combos can get messier than plain microwaves because of grease. Our cleaning guide covers the roof and heater area.
  • Accessories. Toshiba's page doesn't list them, and third-party pages disagree. Read the box contents on the listing, and our accessories guide before you buy extras.

Quick questions

What are the dimensions of the Toshiba ML2-EC10SA?

Toshiba's US page says 20.6 in wide, 18 in deep and 11.8 in tall, with a 1.0 cu ft inside and a gross weight of 39.2 lb. The Amazon listing says 16.4 in deep. We don't know why they differ. Plan for 18 in, because a body deeper than you expected is the costly mistake.

How much space does the ML2-EC10SA need around it?

We couldn't confirm that from Toshiba. Its product page gives none, and a third-party summary of the manual says about 3 in on top, back and sides. If that holds, 11.8 in plus 3 in is 14.8 in (computed), under a common 18 in gap. Read the printed manual and never block the vents.

What are the 8 functions?

Toshiba's page calls it 8-in-1 but doesn't name all eight. It lists microwave, convection heat and grill, air fry with 10 presets, defrost, a low-temperature function and an odor-removal function. The specs table says 5 programs, and the page doesn't explain that against the 10 presets. Check the manual.

Does it come with an air fry basket?

Toshiba's page doesn't name its accessories. A third-party manual summary lists a grill rack and a grill tray, while a page for a related model shows a bake rack and tray, so we can't say which you will get. Check the box contents on the listing. Our accessories guide explains why parts aren't interchangeable between models.
