Vissani Microwave Air Fryer: What the EC042A2KJ Guide Says and How to Use It
The Vissani EC042A2KJ really is a microwave air fryer, but we found no listing for it on Amazon. Its guide lists 1000 W of microwave power and an Air Fry menu of ten foods. For the same 1.5 cu ft size on Amazon, we recommend the Toshiba ML-EC42P.

The short version
The Vissani EC042A2KJ microwaves and air fries, so it is a true combo. Its guide lists 1000 W output, 1500 W microwave input and 1750 W convection input, with air fry at 350 to 425°F on the grill tray. We could not open any store page for it. On Amazon, we recommend the 1.5 cu ft Toshiba ML-EC42P instead.
Most people searching for Vissani want to know how to work it, or whether to buy it. This page sticks to what the company's use and care guide says.
Toshiba

Best for: families who want the biggest turntable and have the counter depth
- Capacity
- 1.5 cu ft
- Microwave watts
- 1000 W
- Outer size (W × D × H)
- 21.77 × 21.38 × 12.87 in
- Functions
- 4-in-1: microwave, air fry, convection, sensor menus

- Maker. Toshiba's page shows the black stainless ML-EC42P(BS); this listing is the stainless ML-EC42P(SS).
- 1.5 cu ft inside and a 13.6 in turntable, says Toshiba
- 1000 W microwave with an auto moisture and heat sensor
- 12.87 in tall, says Toshiba, still under a common 18 in gap
- 21.38 in deep, says Toshiba, which leaves little counter free
- 21.77 in wide, so it needs a real slot of counter
- Space it needs not confirmed from a manual we read
Where is Vissani sold?
The guide tells you to call Vissani Customer Service before returning anything to the store, and its cover names homedepot.com. The store's pages refused our requests, so we couldn't check current stock or finishes. We also found no Vissani brand site. Our where to buy guide covers buying outside Amazon.
What does the guide say about the EC042A2KJ?
| Item | What it says |
|---|---|
| Microwave output | 1000 W |
| Microwave input | 1500 W |
| Convection input | 1750 W |
| Air fry temperature | 350 to 425°F |
| Warranty | One year limited |
| Size inside | 1.5 cu ft (third-party page) |
| Outside size | 24.2 × 22.6 × 14.8 in, D × W × H (third-party page) |
The capacity and size come only from a third-party page, not from Vissani. That size is large, so measure with care before you plan a spot.
The guide's installation page asks for at least 12 in above the oven and 3 in from any side walls, with one side open. It also gives a minimum installation height of 3 ft. Our clearance guide sets those figures beside other models.
How do I air-fry in it?
Set up the tray
Prepare the grill tray, which sits on the grill rack. Keep both out of microwave mode.Pick a menu
Press Air Fry. H1 shows first. Press it again or use the number keys to choose from H1 to H10, then press Start.Set the temperature
Use More or Less to set 350 to 425°F, and press Start to confirm.Set the time
Use More or Less to set the time, then press Start.
The menu covers frozen fries, onion rings and nuggets, chicken wings, legs and tenders, coconut tenders, fish sticks, spring rolls and mozzarella sticks. Portions run from about 7 to 14 oz depending on the food.
One thing is unclear. The parts list says the grill rack is only for convection, while the air fry note asks for the grill tray, which must sit on the rack. We read that as tray on rack for air fry. Ask Vissani if it matters to you. The guide names no basket. Our guide on how to use a combo explains the usual order of steps.
Is it right for me?
Why it works
- A true combo with both microwave and air fry
- Input and output power both stated in the guide
- Popcorn, sensor and defrost functions listed
Where it falls short
- 1750 W of convection input is a high figure for a shared kitchen circuit
- Size only from a third-party page
- No store page or company site we could read
That 1750 W is above the 1700 W air fry rating on the Ninja MW101, which works out to about 14.2 A at 120 V and sits near the limit of a 15 A circuit. The guide says to use a grounded household outlet. Our page on circuits and amps can help, and an electrician can settle any doubt.

Quick questions
How do I use the air fryer on a Vissani microwave?
The EC042A2KJ guide says to press Air Fry, then press it again or use the number keys to pick a menu from H1 to H10, and press Start. Use More or Less to set 350 to 425°F, press Start, set the time and press Start again. Prepare a grill tray for Air Fry.
Where can I find the Vissani microwave air fryer manual?
The EC042A2KJ use and care guide is linked in the sources on this page. The copy we read has that model number on its cover, plus Vissani Customer Service at 1-855-847-7264. If your model number has extra letters at the end, confirm with Vissani that the guide applies to your unit.
Can I put the Vissani grill rack in microwave mode?
No. The guide says the grill rack is only for convection, and the grill tray cannot be used in the microwave function. It also says to avoid metal or metal-trimmed dishes when microwaving. Take both out before you microwave.
Is the Vissani microwave air fryer any good?
We can't tell you from what we read. The guide gives features, not results, and we found no controlled test of its air fry mode. For picks with stronger documentation, see our comparison of the best combos.
Can a Vissani microwave go above the stove or in a cabinet?
Not this model above the stove. The guide says not to install it over a range cooktop or other heat-producing appliance, and that doing so could damage the oven and affect the warranty. We read no trim kit or cabinet option, so treat it as a counter model and keep its vents clear.
