Buying guide

White, Black or Stainless Microwave Air Fryer Combo

Stainless and black are easy to find. White is the hard one. The only white true combo we found is a GE 4-in-1 listing, and GE says its GCST10A1WWW is no longer made. Buy the Toshiba ML2-EC10SA in black stainless, or the Sharp SMC0985KS in stainless if space is tight.

The short version

For white, the only true combo we found on Amazon is a GE 4-in-1 listing with seller data only, and GE says its GCST10A1WWW is no longer made. For black stainless, buy the Toshiba ML2-EC10SA. For plain stainless in a small kitchen, buy the Sharp SMC0985KS. The Ninja MW101 comes in silver, black and Cyberspace.

A finish won't change how a combo cooks, but you will see it every day. Pick the size first and the color second. The color you like may not come in the size that fits. The size guide shows how to measure.

What about white?

We searched the main brands for a white true combo and found one on Amazon. Plenty of white microwaves and white air fryer toaster ovens exist, but those are not combos. Look for microwave watts, and see the list of lookalikes that are not combos.

Be careful with the GE. GE's page for the GCST10A1WWW, which we take to be the white version, says it is no longer made. It lists 1.0 cu ft, about 11.875 in tall, 20.6 in wide and 16.6 in deep. The white GE listing* names no model number. Ask the seller which model ships, and about the warranty. If white isn't a must, the stainless one has GE's own sheet behind it.

Black, black stainless or stainless?

  • Stainless matches other stainless appliances. GE and Sharp both state it.
  • Black stainless is a tinted stainless look. It won't always match another brand's, so compare photos.
  • Plain black can mean a painted or glass front. Sellers don't always say, so check the color field.

What about the same model in other colors?

Ninja's three colors are the clearest case. The silver MW101*, the black MW101BK1* and the Cyberspace MW101BL1* are one family, but the listings differ in detail.

GE is less tidy. The black GE listing* names GCST10A1WBB, and its size comes from the listing alone. The GE page sorts out which GE data fits which listing.

Check the model number on the exact color you click, because suffixes can change. Air fryer toaster ovens come in more colors, but they can't microwave. And don't skip the space it needs around it: see the clearance guide.

Still deciding on the model?

Which combo is yours?

Question 1

Where will it go?

This decides how you buy.

Size first, then finish. The Toshiba ML2-EC10SA in black stainless is where we start. The Sharp SMC0985KS in stainless suits small kitchens. White is possible but takes homework.

How do I clean each finish?

For stainless, GE's manual says to use a hot, damp cloth with a mild detergent made for stainless, wipe off the soap with a clean, hot, damp cloth, and dry. Check your manual for other finishes.

Quick questions

Is there a white microwave air fryer combo?

Yes, but we found few. The one true white combo in our research is a GE 4-in-1 listing at 1.0 cu ft and 1050 W, says the seller. GE says the GCST10A1WWW is no longer made, and the listing names no model number. Ask the seller which model ships.

Does the color change the specs of a microwave air fryer?

It should not within one model family, but check. Compare the model number and the outer size for the exact color you plan to buy.

Is a stainless microwave air fryer stainless inside too?

Not always. Sharp's sheet names a stainless steel interior for the SMC0985KS. Toshiba's page lists stainless steel for the ML2-EC10SA without saying which part. If an easy-wipe inside matters to you, check the spec line.

How do you keep a stainless steel microwave clean?

GE's manual says to use a hot, damp cloth with a mild detergent made for stainless steel. Then wipe off the soap with a clean, hot, damp cloth and dry. Check your own manual, because other finishes can have their own rules.
